“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom”
- Anaïs Nin
Weave OT was founded to create a space for occupational therapy that feels accepting, curious and human - grounded in thoughtful clinical practice, social justice and deep respect for lived experience.
After many years working within systems that did not always seem to have enough room for people’s real lives, I wanted to practise differently: to understand the whole person, and the many things that shape their story.
I have always been drawn to the places where a life resists easy explanation. Diagnoses can be useful, but they are rarely the whole picture. Understanding someone means being curious not only about what has happened to them, but about what matters to them, how they experience the world, the people around them and the life they want to live.
For me, the work is partly about creating enough understanding, safety and space for change to unfold. People rarely need help becoming someone else; more often, they need the right support to become more fully themselves.
Based on Wadawurrung Country in Geelong, Weave OT offers in-person support across the Geelong region and telehealth services throughout Australia.
We welcome enquiries from individuals, families, support coordinators, service providers and health professionals.
NDIS and private referrals are accepted for young people aged approximately 12 and over, adults and families.
